Christopher Bailey on Being British

In the below link Christopher Bailey talks a bit about the Burberry Fall Winter 08 collection but the most fascinating part of the interview with Suzy Menkes. In the interview, upon being asked what it means to be British he calls it a "disheveled elegance". He goes on to say "I love the fact that there is something quite traditional, quite stoic...along with this real art side to it, along with this real almost rebellious side."

London Fashion Week Buzz Begins!

February 10th to 15th is bound to be an exciting, fashion filled week with the kickoff of fabulous London fashion week. The usual suspects such as Sinha-Stanic, PPQ, Biba, Marios Schwab (yes yes yes!), Todd Lynn, House of Holland, Gareth Pugh, Giles, Jonathan Saunders, Luella are all in in tow and set to mark LFW as one of the most exciting fashion weeks the same way the have in previous seasons. The icing on the cake are Vivienne Westwood Red Label and Jaeger Black, which are the new (old) kids on the block and very exciting additions to fashion week.

Ones to watch are definitely fashion east which could easily be one of the most exciting shows, Todd Lynn (who had a killer soundtrack last season), Marios Schwab, Armand Basi, Ann Sofie-Back, and Eley Kishimoto.

The real question is with M.I.A. blasting down just about every catwalk last season including Chanel, who will be the artist du jour? Also what color hair will the star of the city, Aggie, have? Stay tuned.....
