The
CFDA recently
announced that the AW09 shows in New York will be taking up
different dates this year. According to Vogue.co.uk they are pushing back the NY date, which
essentially takes over about half of London Fashion week, leaving London just 4 days to show.
Unfortunately for London this is terrible news as many buyers already boycott London due to its overlap with the coterie trade show. With the poor dollar, as well as already low LFW attendance this is very bad news for London Fashion Week. Such a shame as so many important emerging designers come out of London Fashion Week.
